We’re Hiring! Truck Driver (MR License Required)
Are you a fit and healthy guy or gal who can skillfully drive a truck and knows how to handle heavy things?
We have a position currently available at our Ferntree Gully Store
Full-Time Driver/Yardperson – MR Licence Required.

The successful applicant will be a punctual, willing worker, who will strive to meet our customers’ needs. He/she will have attention to detail, thoroughness, and safety. This person will be fit and strong, (be willing to undergo a fitness test if required), cheery and amiable by nature; be able to work cooperatively and autonomously in a small team environment.
Timber knowledge will not be required but driving experience and a minimum “MR” license is a must. Any timber and or hardware experience would be an advantage, but a quick learner with other attributes would be considered equally. A fork lift license is not essential, though the applicant would need to be willing to become licensed.
As “the face” of Demak Timber, we are looking for someone who is friendly and presentable to deliver the wide range of products we sell.
When not driving, other duties would include:
- Putting packs of timber away
- Serving customers
- General cleaning
Saturday mornings (overtime) are on a rotating roster. This is a 38 hour a week job plus overtime, starting time weekdays at 7.00am. Remuneration is above award, commensurate with experience.
